Most hoodies are designed for one season.
Winter comes, you buy a hoodie. Summer comes, you live in cotton tees and pretend you don't miss the comfort of that familiar piece. Then fall arrives and you're digging through your drawer hoping it still fits right.
We designed differently.
The Problem We Solved
The real problem isn't which hoodie to wear. It's that most people don't have a hoodie that works across seasons. So they either:
Option A: Buy one thick hoodie and suffer through three seasons of overheating.
Option B: Buy multiple hoodies (thin one, thick one, medium one) and your closet becomes a graveyard of abandoned pieces that don't quite work.
Neither option is elegant. Neither one is how we wanted to solve it.
The Aqilla Approach
We make hoodies seasonally. Same design. Same open back. Same philosophy. Different fabric weight.
Winter Hoodie: Thicker organic cotton that holds warmth and feels substantial. The one that wraps around you like it understands what you're carrying. Launched in heavier weights and darker colorways Ember, Ash, our deeper tones.
Summer Hoodie: Thinner organic cotton engineered for breathability without sacrificing structure. The one that works at 65 degrees and 85 degrees. Launched when the weather shifts and people start reaching for something lighter.
Both are hoodies. Both are premium. Both are built to last.
Why This Matters
When you own a seasonal hoodie, you're not making a compromise. You're making an investment in actually wearing something you love year-round.
A winter hoodie that's too warm in August sits in your closet. It stops being beautiful. It becomes guilt the piece you spent money on but can't wear. A summer hoodie that's too thin in February doesn't hold you the way you need.
But a hoodie that's right for its season? You live in it. You reach for it. You actually get the value.
The Color Story
Our seasonal approach also lets us play with color differently. Summer calls for certain tones our Ash colorway works beautifully in thin cotton when the world is bright. Winter asks for warmth Ember feels right when it's cold, when you're reaching for something darker, something that grounds you.
It's not random. It's intentional. The whole year, thought through.
What We're Actually Saying
When we design hoodies for seasons, we're saying: Your wardrobe should work for your life, not against it. We're saying that quality means understanding context. That the right hoodie isn't about one perfect piece it's about pieces that are perfect for when you're wearing them.
It's about abundance without waste. Intentionality without compromise.
The Rhythm
Winter launches with thicker hoodies. Summer launches with thinner ones. The design doesn't change. The open back is always there. The philosophy stays constant. What changes is the fabric weight and that small change means everything.
That's the secret: one design, thoughtfully seasonal. One hoodie philosophy, adapted for how you actually live.
